Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

EduSarva ("we", "us", "our") is a free online learning platform available at edusarva.com. We are operated by a sole developer based in Ontario, Canada. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@edusarva.com.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to save your learning progress:

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a unique user ID from Google. We do not receive your password or payment information.
  • Learning progress: Your XP points and course progress are stored in our database so you can resume where you left off.
  • Usage data: Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by our hosting provider (Google Firebase) for security and diagnostic purposes. We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party analytics on this site.

We do not use advertising networks (including Google AdSense) and we do not serve ads.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Notice)

EduSarva offers a Kids section at edusarva.com/kids with educational games for children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

The Kids section is entirely stateless — no accounts, no sign-in, no cookies, and no data storage are used for the children's games. Children can use the games freely without providing any information.

The Google Sign-In feature is available on the main learning platform for users who are 13 years of age or older. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@edusarva.com and we will delete it promptly.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To save and restore your course progress and XP across sessions.
  • To authenticate your identity when you use the AI tutor feature.
  • To enforce fair-use rate limits on AI-powered features.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of our platform.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Hosting) — Firebase Privacy
  • Google Gemini API — used to power the AI tutor and essay grader. Your question and code context are sent to Google's API to generate a response. Inputs are not used to train Google's models under standard API terms.

These services are governed by their own privacy policies. We have no control over data processed by these providers beyond what is described above.

6. Cookies

EduSarva does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may store authentication tokens set by Firebase (a first-party session mechanism), and we use localStorage to cache your progress locally for performance. Neither of these constitutes tracking cookies, and no cookie consent banner is required for these uses under Canadian law.

7. Data Retention

Your account data (email and progress) is retained for as long as you have an account. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@edusarva.com. We will delete your account records within 30 days of a verified request.

8. Your Rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and where applicable under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Withdraw consent to our use of your information (which will result in account deactivation).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@edusarva.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including enforcing HTTPS on all connections, applying strict database security rules, and using industry-standard authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of EduSarva after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
